A story of an Optical and an Artist

We have long been inspired by one of our favourite bands, WILCO! They have found a way to connect with each city that they pass through and we think it's brilliant. They collaborate with local artists who then create and design a unique poster for each show. We have a pretty solid collection so far and you will see a few of these on display at the Optical! This one is from their show in Grant Park in Chicago back in 2016.

We were inspired to work with local artists to design a custom lens cloth each year that we will then hand out to each of our customers as a thank you for supporting our business. We found Bianca from Casabianca art in 2021 through Instagram and that's when inspiration struck for our very first cloth. It was perfect for our first year at our new location and even showcased our new MOSCOT eyewear line at the time. We have the original artwork framed at the Optical.

Last year, we worked with Dave Houle on a 45th anniversary in business design. We were thrilled with the final design and Dave was able to connect our love of music with our anniversary year! We also branched out and created custom pins and tote bags to get into full celebration mode! 

It's time to start thinking about our 3rd collaboration. If you are interested or know of a creative artist of any medium who may be interested in collaborating with our Optical, we would love to hear from you!
